What do you need to do in order to enter Maldives (Updated 2022)
Maldives Travel Restrictions
Status: Fully Open
After barely a few months of closure, the Maldives returned to foreign visitors on July 15, 2020. There are virtually no travel restrictions.
All travelers arriving and leaving through airports and seaports must complete the Traveler Health Declaration form within 48 hours of the flight time.
PCR is not mandatory. And there is no travel-related quarantine.
Most travelers from most countries will get a free 30-day entrance permit upon arrival.
A Traveller Health Declaration Form must be completed 24 hours before arrival. On arrival, you will be forced to download a tracking app.
This is not the case with non-tourists (for example, residents, returning students, and work visa holders). To enter the Maldives without quarantine, these individuals must be completely vaccinated. If they are not completely vaccinated, they will be quarantined in a government-approved institution for 14 days. Before exiting quarantine, they must additionally register on the Haalubelen Portal and pass an exit exam.
No Extra cost. Because medical emergencies often happen while traveling we still advise you to take out a travel policies.
Internal travel restrictions:
Face masks should be worn in all public places
