Coverage of Extreme Personal Accident Insurance

Just like traditional personal accident insurance, Extreme Personal Accident Insurance covers everything that personal accident insurance covers but more. Things that are normally excluded in Accident Insurance are added to the Extreme Personal Accident Policy like riding on a motorcycle and many extreme sports. Below is the detail on the general coverage of an extreme Personal Accident Insurance policy.

Loss of life, Dismemberment, Loss of sight, Loss of hearing, Loss of Speech, or Permanent Disability

An accidental death and dismemberment coverage will pay benefits to the beneficiary if the cause of death or dismemberment is an accident.

Accidents from riding or traveling as a passenger on a motorcycle

The coverage for riding or traveling as a passenger on a motorcycle is usually specified in a different section. This amount is usually lower than the insured amount. This will give benefit the beneficiary if the insured dies riding or traveling as a passenger in a motorcycle accident. Normal Personal Accidents would only traveling as a passenger but some extreme personal accident insurance also covers riding on a motorcycle.

Accidents which is due to extreme sports*

Accidents from playing extreme sports would normally be excluded from a normal personal accident policy. This may include Snorkeling, Snowboarding, skiing, skydiving, surfing, and many more.

Medical Expenses from General Accidents

Medical expenses benefit is usually 10% of the insured amount, although some insurance companies have made their own policies that cover more for medical expenses. This coverage will benefit the insured person should an accident result to an injury that requires hospitalization.

Being murdered or physically assaulted

Murder and Assault benefits will benefit the beneficiary if the insured is murdered or assaulted. The amount specified for this benefit is different from the death and dismemberment. The benefit for this is usually lower than the insured amount.
